Many licensees expand their practice by helping existing clients buy and sell commercial investment properties such as apartment buildings, industrial buildings and small retail properties.
Our two-day Introduction to Commercial Real Estate Investment Analysis course introduces residential real estate practitioners to the fundamentals of working with clients interested in commercial real estate investment opportunities. You’ll learn basic financial analysis skills to evaluate and analyze commercial real estate investment opportunities.
You’ll also get hands-on experience in investment analysis using an Excel Workbook. This exercise is designed to raise awareness and consolidate understanding of both the analysis process and the terminology involved.
By the end of this 2-day course, you should be able to:
Accurately price a commercial real estate opportunity for a listing or purchase.
Explain how financial leverage works in CRE and how it affects returns.
You’ll need access to Excel Online to participate in this course, which means you’ll need a (free) Microsoft account. If you don’t have a Microsoft account, you can sign up for a free account – there’ll be instructions on how to create your account in the pre-class preparation document.
